Be Mine: DIY Heart Shaped Tank

You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

Yeah, the photographer made me do that :p

Hi Everyone!

Wear your heart on your sleeve? That's so last year! For 2013 wear your heart  on your chest! :D The delicacy of tiny flowers in a heart shaped design pledges your allegiance to the season of love while it heralds Spring plus it's such an easy way to add whimsy to your V-Day ensamble.
Wear it under your work suit then change later to a lace mini, lose the blazer and add strappy heels for a super sexy look.

Some other colour combinations to consider :
  • Orange tank: fuchsia flowers
  • Baby pink tank: fuchsia or red or burgundy flowers
  • Burgundy tank: cream flowers
  • Peach tank: burgundy or red flowers
  • Red tank: pink flowers

Tank: Maxie's Dpt Store // Sweater: F21 old, (find a chunky knitted version with studded detail here) // Jeans: Jeng Beng, (try this) // Shoes: Dollhouse // On my lips: MAC's Brave Red //

Tank top
Organza fabric (choose a colour that matches the flowers)
Small artificial flowers
Glue gun
Needle and thread

Any fabric can be used, but the organza makes it delicate.

Cut fabric in the shape of a heart. Pull the flowers off stems then carefully glue to the organza fabric; start at edges then work your way in.  * Optional step glue small craft pearls in a sporadic design *

Pin design on tank then hand sew on.

That's it, so easy, com'n doooo it!!
The best part about this DIY? you can easily remove the design after Valentine's Day and save the tank for later, say maybe the green leaf clover in March ;)

Forgive me for not posting that much last week, bear in mind that if I'm not posting it's because I'm busy working on something new; possibly to share here.

Thanks for reading!
